Everyone is exceptionally different than everyone so eating should be treated the same way. Just because one great diet fad works for one person does not mean that it is going to work for another person. In fact, it most likely won’t work. That is just the way diet fads are.

If you really want to work on losing a few pounds, you can’t follow diet fads around. You have to lose the weight way and all starts by knowing how to eat the right amount.

If you eat too much or too little, you are looking at gaining weight instead of losing it. Let me explain.

When you eat too little, you are allowing your body to eventually pursue the starvation process. This means your body does not believe that it is getting food so it starts to store the fat that it does have. When you eat too little in calories you are not gaining any weight but you are not losing any weight either. You are forced to stay at a stand-still.

Eating too little can cause a lot of health problems. Here are some problems that are quite common:

  1. Hair loss
  2. Dizziness
  3. Depression
  4. Trouble concentrating
  5. Brittle fingernails
  6. Gall stones
  7. Imbalanced electrolytes
  8. Lower heart rate
  9. Low blood pressure

Eating too much however can lead to some health issues as well. Here are some problems that are quite common:

  1. Diabetes
  2. High blood pressure
  3. High cholesterol
  4. Risky chance for heart attack or stroke
